Melissa Milgrom is an independent journalist who writes about popular culture, subcultures, and people with eccentric areas of expertise. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Metropolis, Travel & Leisure, and many other publications. She has also produced segments for Public Radio International's Stuido 360. She is currently working on a nonfiction book on taxidermy for Houghton Mifflin that will be published in 2005.
